OVERVIEW
College Student Educators International (ACPA) and Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA) jointly developed this set of Professional Competency Areas to identify the broad professional knowledge, skills and attitudes expected of student affairs professionals working in the United States, independent of their field of specialization or positional function. It is designed to address professional development, graduate curriculum, and training of student affairs practitioners.
The ten ACPA/NASPA competency areas are:
